The Vardinoyannis family made a significant offer to the students of the schools of the Municipality of Sfakia.

At the initiative of the "Ta Sfakia" Music and Dance Association was implemented the provision of computers in the schools of the Municipality of Sfakia, since for the 6th consecutive year the Motor Oil company of the Vardinoyannis family, originating from Sfakia, responded directly to a request of the Association in order to purchase computers for the schools of Sfakia replacing the old technology used up to now, but also purchasing for schools that lacked the appropriate equipment.

In particular, 12 state-of-the-art computers were purchased from a Chania store with all the programs that students need. On 31 January, 2019 a technician of the company proceeded to place them in elementary schools in Askifou, Vouvas, Chora Sfakion, Anopoli and also in the high school of Chora Sfakion.

Students and teachers enjoyed the new computers with great pleasure, while even greater was the enthusiasm of children and teachers in schools that did not have any computers yet. It is worth mentioning that in these schools, despite the fact that the number of students does not justify a teacher for the computer lessons, the computers, as reported by the teachers, are a useful tool for enriching the teaching of the remaining courses.

The music-dancing Association of Sfakia warmly thanks the Vardinoyannis family and especially Vardis Vardinoyannis, who contributed with this gift to the upgrading of the education of the place and has not stopped supporting the Association during all these years, by supporting its Christmas events.
