We received the sad news today that Giannis Braos, the owner of the Xenia Hotel and president of the ANENDYK ferry company, died suddenly today in Sfakia from a heart attack. The whole village is in shock.

That really is a sad news.

Giannis was one of the most busy and most successful persons of the Sfakia.
I feel very shocked.

He had (among others) the big beverage shop, the Anendyk-management, shares of Anendyk
- and especially the Xenia.

Nobody can replace the loss of this person.

The funeral was this morning, Sunday, at 11:30. The cause of death is now given as pulmonary oedema.
"A bad day for Sfakia" they are saying. Yes, indeed.
