Women of Sfakia and Other Stories
Last week I found this EXCELLENT short 30 minute Sfakian documentary on youtube.
The film is composed of the narratives of different women from the area of Sfakia in western Crete, focusing on their experiences of place in an effort to understand the social issue of female migration pertinent in the area.

Through its chronological approach – from older to young – it tries to shed some light on the changes in gender relations following the economic and social changes the area has been undergoing in recent decades, strongly affected by the growth of the tourist industry.
