We didn’t find any unusual flowers on the path, but the small ones are interesting to look at close up. Apart from those pictured below, there were also purple thistles, lots of field marigold, yellow asphodel, plus a couple of serapias orchids.

Cretan mouse-ear (Cerastium scaposum)
tiny Solenopsis minuta (not a good photo)
orange and blue pimpernel (Anagallis arvensis)
tiny rayless chamomile (Anthemis rigida)
lots of what we think are white and pink-tinted ranunculus (Ranunculus asiaticus), which resemble anemones
a few poppies
sweet-scented round clumps of spiny spurge (Euphorbia acanthothammos)
