Kalimera, on 21.12. am I gone with a beautiful sunshine a section of the E4 coastal trail Paleochóra - Lissós Valley (Archaeological Site Lissós) - Soúgia. I went to little Astropelekita Beach. Shortly behind the Astropelekita Beach, the ascent begins to the high plateau.

From Paleochóra to Sandy Beach / Gialiskari Beach you need a good 1 hour. Shortly before the campsite on the left, a brick water source is with drinking water.

At Sandy Beach and Gialiskari Beach there is the possibility to refresh and strengthen in one of the canteens. At the Gialiskari Beach you can treat yourself to a massage.

From the Giiankari Beach, the hike is given to Saúgia with 9.5 km and 6 hours.

From the Gialiskari Beach to Astropelekita Beach and the rise to the high plateau, the orientation is very easy. There is only one way and is marked with the yellow / black E4 character all the time.

The Astropelekita Beach is only a few meters wide and very narrow. Here you can go bathing.

The E4 Coastal Hiking Paleochóra - Lissós Valley (Archaeological Site Lissós) - Soúgia is also described in every Crete hiking guide.

Tomorrow comes the hike Azogirés - Anidri - Anidri Gorge - Gialiskari Beach - Paleochóra I am on 22.12. have undertaken.

I would not put your post in this thread , because Paleochora and the area around does not belong to Sfakia.

Paleochóra actually does not belong to Sfakia geographically, but it does feel like it. Gialiskari Beach is just a stone's throw from Sfakia.

So be happy that something will be published here in the hiking thread.

So relax ...

Hello,
We agree with you Kokkinos, it is very nice of you to put in on this hiking thread even if it is little outside Sfakia, and you usually even write when you are in Sfakia as well.
Lets be honest, not many people at all has posted much for a very long time, so it is much appreciated by us any way when people do.
Please keep posting.

Best Regards
Marie and Andrew
