It rained overnight – thankfully it was clean rain and not full of red Sahara dust – and we were treated to bright sunshine and a rainbow 8am. I decided to try to gather snails on the eastern slope next to church over the old footpath to Anopoli, which was out of the wind. I only managed about a kilo (people who went out to collect them while it was still raining got a lot more), but it was good exercise in the fresh air and sunshine, with the sound of the sea pounding in.
The ferry couldn't go today, but the Sweetwater boat made a trip this morning. It has clouded over a bit over the mountains, but the colours in the sea are still vivid. It is warm out of the breeze.
