Yesterday we drove to Frangokastello and on the way there we could see that The Olive Mill had closed down totally, the building was just a skeleton.
The fort in Frangokastello seems to be nearing the completion of the restoration work, at least from the outside, as the scaffolding had been removed and the ground tidied.
The restaurant opposite, which was previously Drousilites and then Nikita has now changed ownership and it will be called Chora Sfakion, according to the boys who were there busy with repairing work. They are planning to open in 10 days time.
Restaurant Ombrogialos in Chora Sfakion will open to night for the season the owner Manousos told us.
Today we took the small boot Delfini to Loutro, from the new harbour in Chora Sfakion. The stairs to the upper deck have been removed and half of the seats downstairs as well to make room for goods and luggage.
When we came to Sweet Water Beach the boat had difficulty to land there because of the low sea level we have here at the moment.
There was full activity along the front of Loutro preparing for the season. The only taverna open was Kyma which had a steady flow of customers coming for lunch.
