Already the 3rd storm in Crete within 20 days

by kokkinos vrachos » 10 Nov 2020, 16:10

Kalimera, already the 3rd storm in Crete within 20 days.

Unfortunately, the problems are all house made. In addition to global warming, the problem on Crete is that the rainwater cannot run off, there is no sewer system. Then there is the wild and chaotic construction of buildings and streets. Everything is concreted, and river mouths are often built over or used as parking lots.

1. Storm (October 20th)

The airport in Heraklion had to close temporarily.
