Very heavy rainfall is occurring in Crete - 10 November, 2020

Very heavy local rainfall is manifested in Crete at noon on Tuesday 10/11. In the processed satellite image that follows, the areas where the most intense phenomena are estimated to occur are highlighted with intense shades . At the same time, the eight highest rainfall heights on the island are listed, according to the Meteorological and Hydrological Observatory of Crete of the National Observatory of Athens, until 12:00 noon.

Heavy rains and sporadic thunderstorms occured in the morning hours of Tuesday 10/11 in Crete, with rainfall amounts approaching 100 mm, having created problems and floods.

According to the forecast data of the National Observatory of Athens / meteo.gr , the rainfall will continue with similar intensity during Tuesday 10/11 and with decreasing intensity during Wednesday 11/11, while the weather will improve on Thursday 12/11.
