We walked down through Livania village yesterday, saying to each other how much we missed the café for its shade and views, not to. mention the refreshments. To our surprise, as we approached we heard the hum of a fridge motor then realised that the cafe gate was not fastened. Inside there was a large delivery of beer and soft drinks crates and the fridge was fully stocked with the price list stuck to the door. But the place was deserted.
Fortunately we had the correct cash for a beer each so, remembering the days of the honesty box, we helped ourselves, spent a delightful hour soaking up the sun and the views (including a pair of griffon vultures which offered an aerial display) left our empties with the payment and continued our walk.
Someone must have ordered the supplies, but who? Thank you from us, and we hope the café will be open for other visitors for the rest of the season.
