DAMN! I wish I'd not watched that now. Makes me miss Crete even more and long to be back. The people, the food, the architectural history, the culture, the sea.....I could go on. As I say to people, you can leave Crete, but Crete never leaves you. Always in my heart.

I can only speak for the Sfakia region, as I know it well (since 2000), but I'm sure I'm not the only one who has seen a huge growth in visitors, especially to Hora Sfakia po...

Ok maybe not exclusive to Sfakia, but a woman from Crete has won one of the most prestigious TV shows in the UK. It's a cookery competition watched by millions here.

You know things are crazy when in late December, Sfakia looks more like Scotland and Scotland looks more like Sfakia!! Beautiful weather here.....and weirdly warm too. Best Wishes. Chris
