Re: Bad news about the beach webcam

Hope there's good news as without my on average two visits a day, life is difficult for me. I could finish up on medication.

Re: The upcoming Greek summer will be something like this

Subjet - Infected travelers a concern - 8 July. This is not encouraging news. It creates a dilemma. National health or tourisme. Lets hope the figures will stay low and stable. Yesterday (07 July), the city of Melbourne in Australia had to go back to point zero. That is, they had to go back into loc...

Re: Boats along the coast

There and back in one day seems impossible at the moment unless you have a high speed motor boat and a taxi waiting for you at each port to wisk you around the village for a quick visit. However, a two or three day return trip with accommodation and meals inlcuded could be financially viable for a s...

Thanks Erno. Almost brings tears to my eyes as, at the moment, looks like I won't be seeing Crete this year.

Re: Harbour Webcam

What a funny coincidence . For the last few days I've been trying to find a spare moment to send you, more or less, the same e-mail that Dave has sent. When the harbour webcam was working, I used to visit it at least twice each day to see what was happening on the harbour. The coming and going of th...

Re: The upcoming Greek summer will be something like this

Thanks Erno for all the information. Good to see that lots of effort is being put into getting the holiday system working again. We should, at this stage, keep our hopes high for a return to as near as normal as soon as possible. I've got my suitcases on standby whilst waiting for the green light. A...

Re: The upcoming Greek summer will be something like this

At the moment in France, our problem could be to get back into France after we take a holiday to another country (including Greece). No definate rules made on this at the moment but we are being advised to book our summer holiday in France. Plus airline tickets may be expensive. Will Ryanair, Easyje...

Re: The upcoming Greek summer will be something like this

Thanks for the information Erno. Without doubt, summer in most European countries is going to be "different". In France, at the moment, we are being advised to take our summer holiday in France. This is not good for other countries who rely on French tourists. It is possible that if we tak...

Re: The renovation of the picturesque Loutro in Sfakia begins

Sounds like a good move. But lets hope they don't go over the top and destroy the authenticity of the old village.
