Re: Harbour Webcam

Quite a few years ago, (probably about 18!), we met a German film crew at the fort at Frangokestello. They were making a tourism programme about two motorcyclists touring Crete. They told us it was becoming a very popular thing to do with the Germans, and organised tours were soon to be set up. I am...

Re: Will Visa be needed if 'No Deal' Brexit??

Another thought.....
Don’t forget All U.K. citizens will probably need IDP’s if we want to drive on Crete. We are getting ours this week, as we are setting off for Greece before Brexit, and cannot take a chance that anything will be agreed between the EU and the U.K. before we go.

Re: Will Visa be needed if 'No Deal' Brexit??

Thanx Erno for the info about my question it looks like I won't need a visa for my Andros & Tinos visit & my other walking hol in Sfakia in September. I certainly did not vote for Brexit & nearly all my friends did not either, in fact I know very few people who did. The county I live in...

Re: Will Visa be needed if 'No Deal' Brexit??

Not everyone in the U.K. voted for Brexit bearbommi. - We certainly didn’t.....along with another 48% of the people who voted in the referendum . I am fed up hearing Teresa May saying the British Public voted for Brexit. Please don’t think her comments are representative of all U.K. voters!

Mihalis, do let us know what happens with your uncle. It must be a very worrying time for your family. I hope he is found safely.

Well done with the 'twitter' post Erno. Let's hope it gets some results. The photo should have some 'impact' as it shows how dreadful the situation is.

Re: Sfakia report, Oct 5th

The Pancartium Maritimum are lovely along the stretch of road from Korakas Beach to Polyrizos. They bloom for most of the year, and are profuse on the dune on the right hand side of the road just after you leave Korakas for Polyrizos. The beach at Polyrizos is a lovely spot to have a swim, and the h...

Re: Day trips by car form Chora Sfakia

If you are happy to have a whole day out in the car I would suggest you 'do' Hania and Rethymno for a day out. Thee are lots of places you will want to stop off if you do the circuit. - The little Second World War Museum in Askifou, the Minoan Graves in Armeni, etc. (Not to mention lots of photos op...
