Re: Bad news about the beach webcam

I believe it would be possible to raise the amount of money needed to purchase a new camera, and pay other ancillary costs, to keep the beach webcam operating. If the folks in Sfakia are willing to install the camera, and basically keep it running, it is not unreasonable that those of us who enjoy s...

Last year I could not get a SIM card in Athens airport. I had to wait until I got to Chania.

Jean said: " You come across an old crashed car early on – it’s hard to figure out how it could have gotten over to the ridge at that point." Jean: The next time you are on the road from Anopolis to Aradhena, at the first major switchback, you'll notice that there's an opening going straig...

Re: Why Greek Orthodox and Catholic Easter will never coincide after 2700

Erno.

Very interesting. Thanks for posting this.

Help Protect Sfakia's Vultures

While we were in Loutro last month a friend of ours, a bird watcher, came for a first stay in Loutro. She found the region beautiful and was pleased to have her first sighting of a number of birds. She especially enjoyed watching the vultures soar over the escarpment behind Loutro, in part because v...
