ANENDYK again bought a new ferryboat

ANENTYK from the summer of 2020 will launch a new ferryboat into the waters of the South Cretan Sea. According to information, the company proceeded a few days ago to purchase a high speed vessel in Japan, capable of transporting vehicles and passengers, in order to be used at all the ports that the company serves.
It is the ship "Oniyouzu", which has already been ... baptized, taking the name "Sfakia Pioneer" [Πρωτοπόρος των Σφακίων] and in the coming days is expected to arrive at the port of Souda.
The ship is sailing at a speed of 21-22 knots and was built in 1998. It was operating in the south of Japan, linking the island clusters. It is 46 meters long, 8 meters wide, and its maximum draught is 1.8 m. It's gross tonnage is 258 tons. It can accommodate a large number of passengers as well as vehicles.

To compare, the Daskalogiannis is 60 meters long, and the Samaria I 48 meters.

'ONI' means a demon and 'YOUZU' means a kite. This kite is a kind of an exorcism. Praying for family's happiness and healty life, people fly this kite at New Year festival.
