I am cautious about answering this. "Difficult" depends a lot on a person's experience with hiking in the area. I have seen people get themselves lost on what I would have thought to be the easiest, most well-trod tourist routes.
The route from Ag Ioannis to the Sellouda, then down to the coast trail to Ag Pavlos and on to Roumeli ought to be straightforward to anyone with some prior experience. Perhaps if you say what you have already walked without problem, this gives me (and others) a baseline for comparison.
I am also interested in doing Aradena gorge again, but am wondering if it is possible to walk from Marmara to Agios Pavlos. Thanks.
Same. The coast route is more or less a 'standard' day excursion between Loutro-Roumeli. It's about 2.5 hours from Marmara to Ag Pavlos (straight walk, steady pace). Rest and photo stops add time. It's another 1-1.5 hours to Roumeli. I'd consider these to be fast-time estimates, for people who hike a lot. People on holiday who try a one-off excursion would likely require more time.
