Pachnes

Has anyone been up the road yet? Has any one been to Pachnes? . I am aware there is still a good bit of snow and I am keen to hear of anyone else's experiences which should help me to make up my mind if it is worth going in this direction. Still too much might mean too risky and I would not go.

It might be a good idea to contact the Anopoli taverna, as they are the ones who usually drive hikers up to Roussies and would know about snow levels up there.

Hi Jim,
I have seen a photograph of J. Bienvenu very recently: According to this, there is no chance of getting to Roussies on road. It is blocked in many places.
Best wishes
Simon

A thank you to Jean and Simon who have taken the trouble to reply. If the road is still blocked then there must be lots of snow further up between Roussies and Katsivelli. I have made up my mind and I will not be coming through the mountains this year.

Yes, us too. We actually - and reluctantly - made the decision a while ago and are now convinced it's the right one.
